Legrand Raises 2026 Sales Growth Guidance on North American Strength
The electrical and digital infrastructure specialist increased its full-year sales growth target to between 16% and 19%.
Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, raised its 2026 sales growth guidance to a range of 16% to 19% from a previous target of 10% to 15%. The company now expects organic growth to reach between 8% and 10%, up from a previous estimate of 4% to 7%, and forecasts acquisition-led growth of approximately 8%.
Revenue for the first half of 2026 rose 13.1% to 5,400.3 million euros. This trajectory was driven by a 24.2% organic increase in North and Central America, where total revenue reached 2,540.8 million euros. In contrast, the Europe region saw an organic decline of 2.4%, though total revenue in the zone rose 1.6% to 1,880.2 million euros due to a 4.2% positive perimeter variation.
Adjusted operating income rose 12.0% to 1,123.6 million euros. The adjusted operating margin stood at 20.8% of sales, a slight decrease from the 21.0% recorded in the first half of 2025. The company said its profitability was supported by pricing and productivity measures to counter inflation impacting the cost base, as well as the quality of recent acquisitions.
Net income attributable to the Group grew 11.2% to 698.2 million euros. This resulted in a net income per share of 2.669 euros, compared to 2.397 euros in the prior year period.
Financial liabilities increased during the period. Net financial debt rose to 5,755.3 million euros as of June 30, 2026, compared to 4,222.6 million euros on December 31, 2025. This move pushed the net debt to equity ratio to 76%, up from 58% at the end of 2025. The company reported that this was influenced by 649.3 million euros in new long-term financing and 93.1 million euros in increased current bank facilities, which were partially offset by 622.7 million euros in dividend payments.
Legrand maintains its adjusted operating margin target for the full year at 20.5% to 21.0% of sales.
