BRP Inc. (DOO), the powersports manufacturer, reported revenues of 2,391.8 million Canadian dollars for the three-month period ended April 30, 2026, up from 1,846.9 million Canadian dollars in the same period the previous year.
Year-round products drove the majority of the company's top line, contributing 1,448.7 million Canadian dollars. Seasonal products accounted for 568.4 million Canadian dollars, while parts, accessories, apparel, OEM engines and other segments added 374.7 million Canadian dollars.
Gross profit rose to 561.6 million Canadian dollars from 394.8 million Canadian dollars in the prior-year period. Gross profit as a percentage of revenues increased to 23.5% from 21.4%. Operating income rose to 225.5 million Canadian dollars from 93.9 million Canadian dollars.
Net income for the period was 128.9 million Canadian dollars, compared to 150.1 million Canadian dollars for the three-month period ended April 30, 2025. Diluted earnings per share were 1.75 Canadian dollars, down from 2.04 Canadian dollars a share in the previous year.
Operating expenses rose across several categories. Selling and marketing expenses reached 130.4 million Canadian dollars, up from 107.4 million Canadian dollars. Research and development costs rose to 118.8 million Canadian dollars from 105.0 million Canadian dollars, and general and administrative expenses increased to 88.1 million Canadian dollars from 77.9 million Canadian dollars.
Normalized net income for the quarter was 134.5 million Canadian dollars. The company reported a net write-down on inventories of 15.3 million Canadian dollars during the period, compared to a 6.3 million Canadian dollars write-down in the same period last year.
Total inventories as of April 30, 2026, were 1,863.4 million Canadian dollars, consisting of 757.7 million Canadian dollars in finished products, 690.5 million Canadian dollars in materials and work in progress, and 415.2 million Canadian dollars in parts, accessories and apparel. Total provisions rose to 937.4 million Canadian dollars from 858.1 million Canadian dollars as of January 31, 2026.
