Informa Hits Record Revenue as B2B Events Drive Growth
The international B2B events and academic markets group reported record revenues of £4,041.4m for 2025.
Informa, an international Live B2B Events, B2B Digital Services and Academic Markets Group, reached a record revenue threshold of £4,041.4m for the year ended 31 December 2025. Reported revenue rose 13.7% year-on-year, while underlying revenue growth was 6.3%.
Growth was primarily driven by the B2B Live Events divisions, comprising Informa Markets, Informa Connect, and Informa Festivals, which account for approximately three quarters of Group revenue. Underlying revenues in this segment increased 9.5%. The Academic Markets business, Taylor & Francis, also reported growth in its core recurring business, including double-digit revenue growth in open access.
Adjusted operating profit grew 14.6% to £1,139.8m, and adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 11% to 55.6p. However, the company reported a statutory loss before tax of £64.3m, compared to a statutory profit before tax of £407.3m in 2024. This statutory decline was primarily due to a non-cash impairment charge of £484.2m related to Informa TechTarget.
Financial costs also rose, with statutory net finance costs increasing by £44.1m to £146.3m. The company attributed this to the issuance of €1.75bn and €700m Euro Medium Term Notes in October 2024 and June 2025 to fund acquisitions and refinance maturing debt.
Free cash flow reached a record £884.8m in 2025. This liquidity allowed the company to reduce leverage to 2.4x from 2.6x in 2024. Informa returned £352m to shareholders through share buybacks and increased its ordinary dividend by 10% to 22.0p per share.
Regarding future performance, the company is targeting underlying revenue growth of 6% ± for the full year 2025, with 8%+ underlying growth expected in Live B2B Events. Academic Markets targets underlying growth of 3-4%, excluding non-recurring data licensing agreements. Informa TechTarget guidance is for broadly flat revenues, with a modeled tolerance range of +1% to -5%.
The company maintains full year reported revenue guidance at £4bn ± and has increased adjusted earnings growth guidance to 10%+.
